Brands have long known the power that bloggers harness, and their potential to generate generate immediate buzz and credibility is clear. Yet most PRs are not leveraging these social influencers as effectively as they could. The majority of pitches are made towards the biggest blogs, but these often fall on the deaf ears of bloggers who are are continually being bombarded with offers from all angles. Poor attention to detail and a lack of understanding of bloggers content also infuriates many writers, leaving them feel undervalued. Vuelio, together with Canterbury Christ Church University conducted the biggest ever survey of UK bloggers to discover who and what people blog about, and how relationship hurdles can be overcome to ensure brands can continue to collaborated effectively with them in the future.
